Read the Official Call to Convention From Brother James W. Ford II, District Director
Issued under Section 8, Articles 8.1 and 8.2 of the Georgia District Constitution
To the Men of Distinction of the Georgia District,
I hereby issue the call for Brothers to assemble at the Hilton Atlanta for the 71st Annual | 86th Anniversary Georgia District Conference, during the weekend of 19–22 November 2026 (conference program Thursday–Saturday, 19–21 November; Sunday the 22nd is departure). Your weekend hosts are the Omicron Mu Lambda Chapter (Cobb County) and the Tau Zeta Chapter (Kennesaw State University). We convene for the 71st time in our stellar history under the theme “The Georgia District, One Brotherhood, Mission Driven, Empowered to Lead.”
As we move to this final stop of the Mission Focused Train, we assemble during a period that calls for resilience and clear purpose to ensure our commitment remains steadfast: to foster unity, support our communities, and further the enduring mission of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. This year’s District Conference will assemble distinguished leaders, dedicated collegiate members, and committed alumni brothers from across the District of Georgia for a weekend focused on empowerment, education, and commemoration.
Our 7th District Director, Brother Dr. Jerry L. Hardee, will keynote our Fraternal Luncheon on Friday afternoon, and the Step Show on Friday evening will feature our talented college brothers with energetic performances. Saturday morning will begin with the Life Membership Breakfast, keynoted by Brother Denny N. Johnson, Senior Director of Brotherhood Engagement & Outreach for the Fraternity, and 45th Southern Regional Assistant Vice President. During the 2nd business session, we will hear the State of Our Region address from our esteemed Regional Vice President, Brother Matthew S. Bradford, and the Regional College Brothers Report from Assistant Vice President Brother Maurice D. Fench, Jr. The afternoon sessions will feature the College Brother Luncheon, finals of the Belford V. Lawson Oratorical Competition, the finals of the Collegiate Scholars Bowl, and the Awards Recognition program. The convention will culminate on Saturday night following the Miss Old Gold and Black Scholarship Pageant.
Our executive team is committed to inspiring ambition, advancing bold goals, strengthening leadership excellence, and renewing our dedication to service. Attendees will gain valuable connections, practical insights, and engaging programming that reinforces our fraternal spirit. With brothers, community leaders, and supporters gathering in large numbers, the conference also offers partner organizations a meaningful opportunity to contribute.

We request that each Alumni Chapter purchase a one-page ad highlighting a significant period, event, or history of their Chapter.

3Delegate Registration
Chapter Delegates
Conference delegate registration is submitted by the Chapter's President. Register your delegates by November 7, 2026.
A Chapter's invoice must be paid in full before that Chapter's delegate submission will be approved in the conference registration system.

Voting
Voting will be electronic. The email address that eligible voters used to register is the email that will receive the voting link.
4Neophyte Registration
Spring & Fall 2026 Neophytes
Enter promo code NEO-2026-FS during registration for free Neophyte admission. Your Cluster Dean will provide full registration instructions (download here).
Each neophyte must access the conference agenda in the registration system to register for Neophyte Training. Attendance for the full session is required.
Neophyte status will be confirmed in AlphaMX.
5VIP Guests
A VIP Guest should contact the Georgia District Executive Director, Brother Marco Pitts, for conference registration procedures.
6Protocol & Etiquette
Alpha Attire
Alpha attire is required all day Saturday, November 21, and must be worn to the Miss Old Gold and Black Scholarship Pageant.
Alpha attire shall be defined as: a dark suit; a white long-sleeve dress shirt; a conservative tie, preferably black, gold, or combination thereof; dark socks; and black dress shoes.
7Additional Tickets
Step Show & Miss Old Gold and Black Scholarship Pageant
Admission is included with conference registration. Extra tickets for guests are available for purchase separately.
5th Annual Robert A. Willis Life Member Breakfast
This ticket is not included with conference registration. Every attendee who plans to attend, including registered delegates, must purchase it separately.
